The Strangest Day

It's been a long time since I updated. Sadly, we just ate rice krispy treats and have not been to the gym in a week.  This, however, is only the second time we've been away from the gym since we joined.  There is something about seeing that monthly draft to the checking account to inspire one to use what you are paying for.

I've applied for a manager position in my old department.  I have not heard anything yet, but please keep this in your prayers.

Rusty spent a good amount of time Saturday putting up a ceiling fan in our bedroom.  It turned out great!  The fan looks very nice.  If I ever figure out how to post pictures I might post it.

We finally made room for our new sofa set in the den.  Have to come up with inventive ways to prevent the doggie from getting in and enjoying the new sofas while we are away.  So far this involves making a barrier of the old sofas which we have not quite decided if we are going to give them up or cover them and use them elsewhere.  Our plan is to buy a nice room divider...a screen...to keep the dog out...eventually...when we have money...might be a while....ha ha.

We are keeping our commitment to go to the gym.  Had 3rd session w/personal trainer at the gym yesterday.  It was not too bad, but after our 50 minute session I decided I could do a bit more.  That leg press kicked my butt.  It hurts!    It really helps to go sit in the hot tub afterwards and the steam room or I'd probably be hurting more today.

....

Work situation does not seem to be getting better.  The work itself is not difficult at all, but the two ladies that sit across from me are very difficult to deal with...one in particular.  They both profess to be followers of Christ and yet they gossip and talk about people in a way that I've never encountered before in my life.  I am by no means perfect, but their gossiping and judging attitude is too much to take sometimes.  Pls pray that the Spirit will convict them and pray that I will have the grace to not go off on them and make matters worse.

We joined a gym...yes, shocking I know.

We paid alot of money to start up which is actually a great motivator to try and get our money's worth.  We've worked out almost every day since joining...including Friday and Saturday nights. Getting hot and sweaty with your spouse is a great date.    We are two tired puppies.

It seems like alot has happened since my last post...let's see....

The fence is up and it looks great and it feels expensive.  We are not getting any $$ from our neighbors.  We even had to pay more $$ to remove the neighbor's tree b/c it was growing way into our side and they claimed they could not afford it.  Unfortunately, the fence could not go up without the tree coming down.  Oh, well...it really does look great and now we don't have to see into our neighbors' crappy yards.  To be fair our yard is pretty crappy, but we hope to put some work into it...soon....aha.

Runt, the adventure doggie, managed to dig a hole underneath the fence and got out on Friday.  We spent the entire weekend looking for the silly dog.  Posting up signs, walking the neighborhood and the nearby apartment complex...in the snow...rather, snow flurries, but it was still way cold.  I was having visions of a frozen doggie and feeling like a bad mother.  Turns out that he was save all along...praise God.  His tags had the old phone number and address which is why the lady that found him could not get a hold of us.  She finally saw one of our signs three days later and called on Monday.

Then, the ingrate doggie was walking around the house sighing deeply b/c he was back home.  Next day I get home and he had torn up three blinds, broke a bookshelve, AND peed on the sofa.  He had to stay inside b/c of the freezing rain.  We were considering getting another puppy, but forget it.  I don't think so now.  We left him outside today...pray that he is still there when we get back.  Rusty secured the fence perimeter pretty well, but I think this dog is way too clever for his own good.

Hey, y'all!  Long time no post...as if y'all actually missed me.

Rusty posted a great entry regarding our wedding.  You can find it here.

We have been getting ready to move into our new house.  Well, in truth, Rusty has been working his be-hind off doing most of the actual work.  He is truly a great husband, but I had no doubts as he was already a great BF.

I'm not sure he's mentioned that he is starting a new job next week.  It is a one year contract with strong possibility of actually being hired on permanently.  I don't think I'll post the name of the **airline** company in case they are watching...they always are, you know? Anyway, it is great pay and we really do need it...moving into a new house takes alot of money.

Rusty is working on getting a new fence put in so that the doggie does not run away.  Also, it will be great for privacy.  Please pray that our neighbors will find it within their hearts to pay for half of the cost on their sides as this is going to be very expensive.

I'm just working on not being bored to death at work...seriously.
